What's the difference between in-ground and surface mounts?
Our in-ground mounts are secured into the ground using concrete for maximum support. Check out our In-Ground Installation Guide for more information!
Our surface mount is attached using heavy-duty screws to superficially secure the rack to the concrete pad. Use our Surface Mount Installation Guide to learn more!
What is Powdercoat, Thermoplastic, Galvanized, and Stainless Steel?
These four categories are both the durable and decorative surface layers of our products.
Powdercoat: A metal coating that is applied to a metal surface as a dry color powder. It is applied electrostatically—using a magnetic field to apply paint to metals—before baking it onto the surface using heat. This creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.
Thermoplastic: A type of plastic polymer material that is applied to products through a fluidized bed dipping. Thermoplastic becomes moldable at a certain high temperature and then solidifies after cooling.
Galvanized: The process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel to prevent rusting. The product is submerged in a bath of hot, molten zinc to get a protective covering.
Stainless Steel: Formed when the raw materials like nickel are melted together. When fused, they create a powerful alloy that is corrosion-resistant. The metal then goes through a buffing process where it receives its shiny appearance.
